The Ducks are preparing to host USC in Autzen Stadium on Saturday (7:30 p.m., FOX).

Preparations for Saturday’s visit by USC to Autzen Stadium continued for the Oregon football team Wednesday with an outdoor practice in full pads.
The Ducks enter the second week of November at 8-1 and hosting an elite offense for the third year in a row. Two years ago they beat WSU in that situation, before losing last year to UW.
Following practice Wednesday, local media met with UO coach Dan Lanning as well as defenders Jamal Hill and Steve Stephens IV. Video of those interviews is embedded below.
Some highlights from coach Lanning …
On what makes USC’s offense so dangerous: "They have a quarterback that can make the plays and they’ve got a lot of talent around him. They probably don’t get enough credit for their run game. Their running back is really good, he does a really good job. Their O line is one of the better lines we’ve seen. So just overall, offensively they’re very efficient.”
On the value of converted safeties Hill and Jeffrey Bassa at linebacker: "Our linebackers are guys that can run; they’re guys that can run but they’re also very willing tacklers (and) physical, smart players. They get us lined up, and I’d say that’s one of the pieces that’s been really good for us this year."
On how preparations for this week’s game are going: "Really proud of the (scout-team) guys that are giving us a look; this week, look is extremely important, playing obviously a really talented team. (Quarterback) Brock Thomas is doing a good job over there, extending plays and making it challenging for us. On the defensive side of the ball, several guys on defense doing the same thing for our offensive unit."
