Tennis superstar Venus Williams popped up all over the festival this year! First, we saw a video of her dancing along to country artist Breland. Then, we heard she was in the ACL Eats section hanging with the crew from Skull & Cakebones. Later that day, she got her country on once again in the Platinum viewing area at Shania Twain.
While you may know him better as McLovin from Superbad, Christopher Mintz-Plasse also plays in beloved local musician Ben Kweller’s band.
Speaking of Kweller, the artist shot a video for the festival with Austin native Austin Nichols. You may know Nichols from Walker, One Tree Hill, or The Walking Dead.
This ’90s star is no stranger to ACL! She’s played the festival in past years and performed on Austin City Limits Radio’s Live Morning Broadcast.
The Daisy Jones & The Six star played a mid-afternoon set at the Miller Lite stage on Sunday.
We first spotted the Shazam star at a Friday night afterparty at The Loren at Lady Bird Lake. On Sunday, we found him in the crowd listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The Voice coach and former member of One Direction played a hot set in the direct sunlight at the American Express stage on Sunday.
Austin resident Zane Holtz and wife Chelsea enjoyed the fest with Fons PR’s Ryan and Brandy Fons. Holtz has starred in multiple movies and TV shows including From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, Katy Keene, and, most recently, the film Hypnotic.
After attending the Red River Showdown in Dallas, Matthew McConaughey jumped on a jet and made it back to Austin in time to join his former co-star and fellow Oscar winner Jared Leto on stage. Fun fact: Leto mentioned that his Grandma lived in Texas, so he and his brother spent time in the Lone Star State as children.
