Tragedy as Lagos Building Collapse Claims Two Lives

A devastating building collapse occurred in the Lekki area of Lagos, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuring several others.

The three-storey building, which was under construction, caved in at around 4 pm on Oriwu Street. Emergency responders quickly sprang into action, with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) leading the rescue efforts. Unfortunately, two adult males were extricated from the rubble and confirmed dead. Six others were rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the collapse is still unknown, but an investigation is currently underway. The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and other relevant authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The building collapse in Lagos is a tragic reminder of the importance of safety protocols and building regulations. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and those affected by the incident.
