Nollywood star and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has reached a historic career milestone as her latest film, Oversabi Aunty, officially crossed the ₦1 billion mark at the Nigerian box office, cementing its place among the highest-grossing Nollywood movies of all time.

The box office record was confirmed on Monday, January 26, 2026, by the film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, through a celebratory announcement on its official X (formerly Twitter) page.

According to FilmOne, Oversabi Aunty has now grossed ₦1,017,201,953, making it the first directorial debut in Nollywood history to surpass ₦1 billion and the fourth highest-grossing Nigerian film ever released.

FilmOne Entertainment hailed the achievement as a landmark moment for the industry, describing it as a victory not just for Toyin Abraham but for Nollywood as a whole.
